Create customers

Do you have to manually create a customer data sheet for each customer? No! When a customer buys something from the linked e-commerce platform, Webship Online will automatically create a customer record based on the data it obtains from this linked e-commerce platform.

Create a customer data sheet

You can quickly add new customers via the “customers” menu, by clicking the “plus” sign in the menu, or by clicking the “add’ plus button at the bottom right of the customer list.

What fields do I need to fill in?

Required fields

  • Customer name
  • Address details

Interesting fields

  • VAT number: if the VAT number is entered, the customer will get a B2B label in the summary list.
  • Contact details: if you enter the contact details, the customer data sheet will also contain an e-mail address, which is particularly interesting for sending Track & Trace updates or contacting the customer in case of possible delivery problems.
  • Delivery address: the billing address may be different from the delivery address. You can enter the relevant address by clicking the delivery address.
  • Customer number: if you have your own customer numbers, you can fill them in here. If you want Webship to number your customers automatically, you can leave the “customer number” field empty.
