A sales order can have several different statuses. We’ll list them briefly:
- Draft (this is the only status that does not reserve stock)
- Waiting for payment
- Ready for picking
- Picking
- Ready for packing
- Packing
- Ready for shipment
- Complete
- On hold
- Cancelled
Depending on the status of a sales order, certain features or changes are no longer possible. For example, when a sales order is “ready for picking”, you can no longer edit or change the product items in that order. If you need to make changes, you will first have to put the sales order “on hold” and then proceed with the changes.
Once an order reaches a status beyond “picking” only minor changes are possible, is to prevent errors during picking.
If an order is set to “complete”, only minor changes are possible (such as adding an attachment).
